“We Must Unite to Support Kashmir: Dr. Syeda Syedain Hameed”
Tirurangadi – “Unity is essential to support and stand with the people of Kashmir,” said Dr. Syeda Syedain Hameed, a former member of the Planning Commission of India. She was speaking at the public meeting held at Kalikavu Government Higher Secondary School, organized in connection with the campaign against the conflict in Kashmir.
She stated that the Kashmiri people are living in constant fear and insecurity, and this cannot be allowed to continue. “We must raise our voices for them. We cannot ignore the pain of Kashmir. We must speak out, act, and support justice,” she added.
The public gathering was organized as part of the Kashmir Solidarity Campaign being conducted by the Kalikavu Students Collective. Students of the school participated by displaying placards and performing awareness skits.
In her keynote address, Dr. Syeda Hameed stated that solidarity efforts like these give strength to democratic values and human rights.
Kalikkavu Government School Principal C.P. Abdurahman presided over the function.
The event was jointly organized by Kalikkavu Students Collective and the school administration. Social activist V.R. Krishna Iyer Memorial Committee also participated.
